JESSE HORNER, PCLC

Jesse Horner Bozeman Therapist

Jesse Horner is a counselor who works with adolescents, young adults, and families who may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. He understands that reaching out for support can feel uncomfortable, especially for people who are used to handling things on their own or who have struggled to feel understood in the past. Jesse focuses on creating a space that feels genuine, relaxed, and nonjudgmental, where clients can show up as they are without feeling pressured to have everything figured out.

Much of Jesse’s experience has come from working closely with adolescents and families in residential care, schools, and community settings. He has supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, family conflict, self-esteem struggles, behavioral concerns, identity development, and difficult life transitions. Jesse especially enjoys working with teens and young adults who feel misunderstood, guarded, emotionally shut down, or unsure how to express what they are carrying internally.

His counseling style is collaborative, relational, and practical. Jesse believes meaningful change happens through trust, consistency, and honest conversation. He works alongside clients to better understand patterns, build emotional awareness, strengthen communication, and develop coping strategies that feel realistic and useful outside of the counseling room. He values authenticity in the therapeutic relationship and believes humor, curiosity, and genuine human connection can play an important role in healing and growth.

Jesse believes people are shaped by their experiences, relationships, and environment, and that struggles rarely exist in isolation. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or labels, he works to understand the bigger picture of what someone has been through and how those experiences may be affecting them now.

Before entering the counseling field, Jesse spent years working in fast-paced leadership and professional environments, experiences that helped him better understand the pressures many people face related to stress, expectations, burnout, relationships, and finding balance in life. These experiences continue to help him connect with clients in a way that feels grounded, practical, and relatable.

Born and raised in Bozeman, Jesse spent time living in other parts of the country before returning to Montana, motivated by a desire to support the adolescents, young adults, and families in the community that helped shape him.
