Hailey O’Brien was born in Colorado but has called Montana home since early elementary school. A proud Bozeman High Hawk as well as a MSU Bobcat, she completed her Master’s while working within the Bozeman community with children and adolescents in many stages of their lives.

Hailey has experience working with children, teens, young adults, older adults and everyone in between. Her passion lies in working alongside individuals to best understand the ‘why’ behind their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Sometimes all it takes is a little outside perspective to understand what is going on within our inner selves. She places emphasis on the importance of building a healthy counseling relationship to navigate challenges and growth together.

In her work, Hailey focuses on clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, identity growth and development, life changes, family systems, relationship struggles, ADHD/ADD, behavior modification, and reflection.

Hailey has built her clinical foundation across some of the most demanding settings in behavioral health. She has worked in a Comprehensive School and Community Treatment (CSCT) setting at both a middle and elementary school and for Youth Dynamics transitional school with both middle and high schoolers. She has performed individual and group counseling and has led family support teams across the state. In addition to this, she does contract work with a psychologist, providing support to various law enforcement agencies and has served as a clinical supervisor to case managers and adults across the state under the Severe Disabling Mental Illness (SDMI) waiver.

Hailey uses a blend of empathy, honesty, and humor to develop a counseling relationship focused on openness and growth. She will use prompting to challenge clients if they feel stuck but provide an equal amount of security to explore the uncomfortable of it all.

In her view, one of the biggest rewards of this work is to see someone realize their full potential and flourish. Everyone has such an immeasurable capacity to do wonderful things, and she enjoys providing the support for everyone to see that in themselves.
