Matt is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and came to counseling after a career in technical sales and business management. He was drawn to the field after a lifelong pursuit of all things human motivational, such as psychology, spirituality, religion, and philosophy, to name a few.

Matt employs an eclectic approach, driven by the client’s needs, desires, and goals. He helps clients explore meaning in their lives and then uses solutions-based thinking to foster qualities that bring joy and modify any others that may have become problematic. He uses an empathic client-centered approach and also challenges his clients to be driven in their quest for growth and learning.

He enjoys working with adults and teens who want to think a little more deeply about life, the world around them, and their place in it. Life can come at you fast and sometimes it’s helpful to have someone to talk to about sorting it all out.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys camping, kayaking, and performing in choruses, bands, and theater groups.
